A Salt and Battery

Mabel and I went to A Salt and Battery for lunch today for fish and chips. It was pretty good. A tiny place with a huge kitchen, it looks like mostly a take-out and delivery place. But we ate there. They had British sports radio on. The guy running the counter surprised me with his heavy British accent. It sounded like someone pretending to have a British accent but Mabel assures me that wasn't the case. The fish was crispy on the outside and very good. The chips were thick and good for soaking up malt vinegar. Most of the menu is fried. They have a deep fried British-imported Mars bar that I might order one day.
