Market Table

Mabel and I just got back from brunch at Market Table. This is my favorite neighborhood brunch place.

The windows are really large, there's great light, and it just has this airy open feel to it during the day that makes me feel good. Service is usually good. Just friendly enough with regularly refreshed coffee. Dinner here is well done, but for dinner I prefer its sister restaurant, The Little Owl. As for brunch at The Little Owl, I don't like it: it's too cramped and there's something about the attitude of the waitstaff that I can't handle in the morning.

Anyway, the food for brunch at Market Table is not quite as satisfying as other places, it's not a big breakfast kind of place, but it's still good and besides it's not totally why we come here.

Mabel usually gets granola. They change the fruit around depending on the season. (Mabel's note: They use Greek yogurt, which makes all the difference.)

Today I got quiche.

It was way larger than I expected. The omelette and poached eggs are also very good.

Almost forgot to mention, I recently discovered the "Food" setting on my camera. I'm not sure exactly what it does, but I tried it out on these pictures. See the difference?
