Andong jjim dak and mackerel

This post took place on June 3, 2010.

On the second day of our east coast tour dad woke up super early in Gyeongiu and saw the sunrise.

We visited Hahoe Village and had Andong Jjim Dak, a communal steamed chicken and noodle dish, in Andong. We sat indoors, but the restaurant had a wonderful outdoor seating space.

Mom and dad insisted on supplementing our meal with mackerel, another specialty of Andong, and I'm really glad they did.

It seemed like a different species of mackerel than I've eaten before, and it was delicious.
