Dave's 32nd birthday dinner at Jean George


These are Mabel's tasting notes from my birthday dinner from 2011 which I just found (posting in Dec 2012 and backdating)

Tasting Menu with wine pairing
nice dining room - they gave us seats with view of everyone
champagne to start
amuse bouche with small morsel of smoked salmon that was extremely fatty and delicious
poached egg preparation in shell with caviar
frog legs in v. nice broth, start of dish looked like all we were getting was just lone frog leg
supplement - white truffle risotto - delicious!!

desert plate with multiple deserts
they found out it was his birthday - birthday cake with gold foil
extremely drunk afterwards - couldn't finish wine!
we were there for 4 hours
